This analysis reveals how global monopole charge affects wormhole stability and energy conditions in alternative gravity frameworks.
This paper studies the effects of a topological charge-related component on the feasible wormhole models in [Formula: see text] gravity, where G is the Gauss–Bonnet term. For this purpose, we consider a static spherically symmetric spacetime which is assumed to be coupled with an anisotropic matter content. We examine the possible structure of these wormholes and the characteristics of the matter required to support them using different shape functions. By assessing different shape functions, we investigate how they affect the wormholes’ stability and energy conditions. We additionally computed an anisotropy parameter to determine whether these wormholes would show repulsive or attractive forces. Our findings demonstrate that the global monopole parameter significantly affects the energy requirements for various shape functions. By illuminating how alternative gravitational theories, such as [Formula: see text] gravity, can make such structures theoretically possible, our outcomes present exciting opportunities for studying wormholes.
