Analysis reveals how thermal conductivity and friction coefficients in powder materials affect their applications.
The issues of classification of powder materials are considered. The main groups of technological operations necessary for producing powders are given. The methods of producing and the structure of powder materials are discussed. It is shown that the metallic components of powder materials provide high thermal conductivity and workability, while non-metallic components increase the coefficient of friction and reduce the tendency to jam.
