Empirical study shows supervisor recognition has no significant impact on job satisfaction, but harmonious labor relations improve outcomes.
Based on 523 questionnaires from the new generation employees, this study explores the influence of supervisor recognition on their job satisfaction and the moderating effect of a harmonious labor relations atmosphere. It is found that supervisor recognition has no significant impact on job satisfaction, possibly due to multiple factors such as values, recognition methods, and the environment. However, the harmonious labor relations atmosphere has a significant positive moderating effect, with a stronger effect in a better atmosphere. This research constructs a theoretical model based on the Chinese context, providing a new perspective on the job satisfaction mechanism and promoting innovation in cross-disciplinary research in the two fields.
