Explanatory design shows flexibility and quick transactions significantly boost deposit mobilization in commercial banks.
The study assessed the role of digital bank applications on the deposit mobilization in commercial banks in Tanzania. The study consisted of three predicting variables tested towards deposit mobilization as the dependent variable. The predicting variables include flexibility, quick transactions and quick delivery. Explanatory design was employed in facilitating knowledge generation process since was facilitated by causal relationship testing. Primary data were used in facilitating knowledge generation by means of structured questionnaire that facts were gathered from Tanzania Commercial Bank (TCB) specifically from the employees through the sample of 48 respondents. The collected data were computed in SPSS software version 23 to obtain statistics to present the results. Therefore, multiple regression analysis were used to describe the relationship between study variables. Findings revealed that among the three tested predictors to the dependent variable; two of them namely flexibility and quick transactions are positive with significant effect statistically towards deposit mobilization as the dependent variable (p<0.05). However, quick delivery as the predictor was found negative with insignificant outcome statistically towards the dependent variable. The implication of the results is that deposit mobilization in commercial banks through digital bank application is influenced with flexibility and quick transactions.
