This work uncovers a novel ZnO/ZnTiO3/TiO2 heterostructure for NH3 sensing, achieving rapid response times and excellent selectivity.
Achieving room temperature (RT) trace and rapid detection of NH 3 is crucial for ensuring occupational health and safety in production. In this work, we constructed the multi‐heterostructure ZnO/ZnTiO 3 /TiO 2 @Ti 3 C 2 T x (Z‐TC) hybrid utilizing an in‐situ growth strategy, which involved the simultaneous formation of ZnO and TiO 2 on the surface of Ti 3 C 2 T x , followed by their interdiffusion to produce ZnTiO 3 . Benefitting from the high carrier mobility of oxide semiconductor, fast and low‐loss carrier transfer of Ti 3 C 2 T x at RT, as well as the Schottky barriers of the multi‐heterostructure, the Z‐TC sensor demonstrated a response of 15.1% to 100 ppm NH 3 with response/recovery time of 44/83 s, as well as realize excellent selectivity and long‐term reproducibility toward NH 3 at RT. This work should provide new insights into developing room‐temperature trace NH 3 gas sensors.
