This approach simulates key features of gravitational waves from binary black hole mergers, indicating their physical trends.
I present an analytic approximation to the inspiral gravitational waveform generated by a binary black hole merger using leading-order post-Newtonian dynamics. Employing the quadrupole formula and chirp mass scaling relations, I simulate the h + and h × polarization components of the strain and visualize the characteristic chirp signal. The model, while simple, captures key physical trends and provides an intuitive understanding of gravitational wave signals. The full Python implementation used to generate the waveform is publicly archived with a DOI on Zenodo and is available under the MIT License. This allows others to use, modify, and extend the code for educational or exploratory purposes.
