Floating catalyst deposition rapidly synthesizes snO nanowires, suggesting efficient gas-phase growth.
SnO nanowires are synthesised continuously via floating catalyst chemical vapour deposition (FCCVD). Fast growth (residence time of <10 s) and high selectivity are achieved through sequential injection of the catalyst aerosol and precursor gases.
