Research reveals that translation skills improve students' English proficiency and intercultural communication in business.
Morocco’s linguistic landscape is characterized by a diverse range of languages and dialects, with Arabic and Amazigh recognized as the country's official languages. Additionally, French plays a significant role, particularly in business and education environments. As English continues to solidify its position as the global Lingua Franca for business and communication, Moroccan students in university business schools confront the imperative of developing proficiency in this language. This research examines the significance of translation skills in facilitating this linguistic transition, highlighting their vital role in overcoming language barriers and enhancing students' ability to operate effectively in international business contexts. This study aims to investigate how translation skills and techniques enhance students’ understanding of English business vocabulary, on the one hand, and their intercultural communication competence, on the other. The major findings reveal that incorporating translation techniques into Business English curricula noticeably improves students’ language learning, critical thinking skills, and adaptability in professional settings. The research advocates for the integration of translation strategies into business education programs to better equip Moroccan students for professional success in the global marketplace.
