This paper explores symbolic computation requirements for modelling application problems, suggesting improved industry integration.
The use of symbolic computation is now well integrated within academic research and teaching, world-wide, however it is not yet as prevalent in industry. This paper explores the requirements for a practical tool for the modelling and solution of application problems that may be defined mathematically as time variant, and therefore definable either by ordinary differential equations or by partial differential equations and boundary conditions.
