Novel methodology estimates absolute chromophore concentrations in tissue, suggesting lower costs and improved quantification efficiency.
We present a novel optimization-based methodology to estimate absolute chromophore concentrations including the redox state of cytochrome-c-oxidase using single-distance, single-modulation, eight-wavelength frequency-domain near-infrared spectroscopy. This approach facilitates the reduction of device costs and depth-resolved quantifications.
