This exploration reveals the dual challenges of cultural experiences and language navigation for transnational educators.
These poems were written in a poetry seminar for education researchers and build on themes that emerged from my dissertation study of Dual Language Immersion Spanish teachers. In interviews, teachers surfaced feelings of ambivalence and in‐betweenness as they toggled between languages, cultural tastes, past and present educational experiences, and legal systems. Combining interview data with my own auto‐ethnographic reflection as a transnational teacher, this suite explores the experience of in‐betweenness of bilingual transnational teachers in the United States.
