This research demonstrates a novel gap reconstruction method in aircraft assembly, suggesting improved efficiency and quality through measurement technology.
The measurement and control of the wing-body assembly gap is one of the key factors affecting the efficiency and quality of aircraft assembly. The traditional method of measuring the wing-body assembly gap based on manual feeler gauges is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the measurement points of the gap are discrete, which is one of the bottleneck problems restricting the improvement of aircraft assembly quality and speed. Based on the understanding that the wing-body assembly gap is reflected in the relative pose relationship between the wing-body mating surfaces, this paper proposes a wing-body assembly clearance reconstruction method and its measurement technology driven by measured data constructs a wing-body assembly gap reconstruction model driven by wing-body contour point cloud data and Wing pose (position and attitude) data, conducts experimental verification in wing-body assembly. The results show that the wing-body assembly gap reconstruction technology driven by measured data provides an efficient digital measurement method for wing-body assembly gap measurement.
