Descriptive qualitative study reveals negative environmental impact of waste disposal in Bantargebang, suggesting urgent need for mitigation.
Humans are creatures who have reason in living their lives, so that in every action they are influenced by their minds. The obligation of humans who have reason is to live side by side with the environment by protecting and preserving it. However, some human actions are destructive both to themselves and the surrounding environment. Due to environmental damage, the ecosystem that is running will be disrupted and cause harm to health, comfort, and safety for all creatures. One of the things that is destructive is human waste that is too much and spread throughout the world both on land and sea. Therefore, humans make preventive, mitigating and recovery actions through centralized waste disposal in designated areas so that human waste can be processed and not spread carelessly. So the author wants to analyze one of the landfills in Bekasi City, Indonesia, namely Bantargebang. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach with a data collection method using observation, interview, and library research methods. The data that has been collected is then compiled to be concluded objectively. The results of this study are the impact of the existence of a landfill on the surrounding environment.
