Analysis reveals that computer mathematics systems and smartphones enhance home laboratory work for students, suggesting new possibilities for remote physics education.
The possibility of using computer mathematics systems and smartphone for distance learning of physics for students and pupils, in particular, for performing laboratory works at home, was analysed. An algorithm for performing home laboratory work on studying the movement of bodies in a viscous liquid and determining the viscosity coefficient using the modified Stokes method has been developed. The essence of the method consists in video recording of a real experiment, subsequent conversion of the video into a set of JPG-format frames, and processing of the obtained figures by means of computer mathematics systems.
