Application of α-amylase and yeast strains resulted in a 4.9% increase in milk yield and a 5.7% boost in profitability.
The feasibility of using exogenous enzyme α-amylase produced by Bacillus licheniformis in the amount of 0.5 mg/kg of dry matter of the diet as a factor increasing the efficiency of using a feed additive based on living strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast in the feeding of high-yielding cows has been proven. This resulted in an increased milk performance in energy-corrected milk (ECM) by 4.9% and an increase in the IOFC indicator (revenue in excess of feed cost) by 5.7%.
