This surgical technique addresses complications like pelvic floor hernia and enhances function in affected females.
Abstract The anatomical and functional defects of the female urogenital diaphragm have been shown to present complications such as recurrence, pelvic floor hernia(PFH), and empty-pelvis syndrome(EPS);after certain surgical treatments. which should be taken seriously in clinical practice and necessary preventive measures should be taken.Based on two cases of defects/severe weakness of the urinary diaphragm, we designed a Mesh enhanced reconstruction parallel to female urogenital diaphragm(MRP-FUD), and our postoperative follow-up results were favorable. the parallel mesh used to enhance reconstructive surgery of the female urogenital diaphragm could also be used to supplement and enhance the anatomical and functional defects of the female basin, and thus exhibits potential clinical value.
