This investigation reveals how petroleum oils interact with butadiene rubber, affecting vulcanizate properties.
The effect of non-carcinogenic domestic petroleum oils of MES and TDAE types on the interaction with butadiene rubber SKDN of group III having different polydispersity levels, as well as on the properties of vulcanizates obtained on their basis in comparison with unfilled industrial SKDN of group I, as well as imported analogs, has been studied/. By means of 13C NMR, chromatographic analysis of MES and TDAE oil oils, swelling kinetics it has been established that different compatibility of the mentioned oils with high molecular weight "neodymium" butadiene rubber depends not only on the total content of aromatic hydrocarbons in the oils, but also on the ratio of aromatic fractions having different molecular weight and structure. Vulcanizates obtained on the basis of experimental narrow-dispersed oil-filled SKDN of group III in comparison with unfilled industrial SKDN of group I have better adhesion on wet road (by 7÷10%) and have identical level of strength properties with them, in terms of heat generation they are close to foreign analogues, at the same time surpassing it in terms of "abrasion resistance" - by 20%. Rubber mixtures were prepared in two stages: preparation of masterbatch was made in a rubber-mixer RheoMix 3000 OS (Haake Thermo Scientific), the introduction of the vulcanizing group was carried out on the laboratory rollers SCAMEX M 88/150. Viscosity and Mooney relaxation were determined on Mooney viscometer "MV 2000", rheometric characteristics on device "MDR 2000" (company "Alpha Technologies"). Rolling resistance level tgδ at 60 °С was estimated on RPA 2000 device (firm "Alpha Technologies"). The strength properties of vulcanizates were determined in accordance with GOST 270.
