Experimental studies reveal that plasma treatment improves mechanical properties in textile materials, indicating beneficial modifications.
The results of experimental studies on preserving the quality of materials for special clothing after operational wear in production are given. Literature review of methods of chemical and physical modification of materials for special clothing has shown that after plasma treatment of textile materials the most optimal method of modification is the electrophysical method with the use of "cold" plasma flow of reduced pressure, which allows to increase the mechanical properties of materials in a complex way. The most effective parameters providing increase of breaking load of textile materials of plasma treatment have been found. Overalls were made of textile materials based on natural and synthetic blended fibers. The finished overalls were operated by workers of industries (forestry, coal, automobile power engineering) and exposed to various mechanical factors, elevated temperatures, dust, dirt, moisture, oils and petroleum products. The research of breaking load of fabrics for special clothes, which underwent experimental wear for 12 months and were subjected to washing, was carried out. As a result of experimental studies it was found that textile materials that have undergone plasma treatment are stronger and more durable. Studies have shown that textile materials for workwear can maximize their strength characteristics under the influence of a stream of "cold" plasma of reduced pressure. When tested on the base, the breaking load of the studied textile materials increased from 29.05% to 33.5%, and on the weft - from 24.8% to 27.6% mainly in argon plasma gas, compared to control samples. Increasing the durability of materials used in the manufacture of special clothing prevents premature wear and damage, which in turn saves resources and reduces the cost of its replacement.
