An inspection robot improves mechanized inspection of superheater piping in coal-fired power plants, suggesting enhanced efficiency.
Superheater piping is one of the key components of a coal-fired boiler and plays a crucial role in the stable and safe power generation of a coal-fired power plant. However, due to the narrow spacing of the pipes, weak magnetism, large span, and wide distribution of the pipe screen, as well as being located at high altitude and the narrow internal environment of the chimney, it makes the automated inspection face a lot of challenges, and currently it still mainly relies on manual inspection. In order to cope with this challenge, this paper designs an inspection robot for boiler superheater pipes in coal-fired power stations, aiming at replacing the traditional manual inspection method and realizing the mechanized inspection of pipes. Based on SolidWorks software, the 3D modeling of the robot components is completed, and the static analysis and topology optimization of the key parts are carried out by Ansys to realize the lightweight design.
