Analysis uncovers distinct legal frameworks for forests on natural reserve, defense lands, and contaminated zones, emphasizing environmental safeguards.
The article is devoted to the topical issues of protection, defense, use and reproduction of forests located on the lands of the natural reserve fund, defense lands and land plots of the exclusion and unconditional (mandatory) resettlement zones that have been subjected to radioactive contamination. The author analyzes in detail the peculiarities of the legal regime of forests on certain categories of land, their protection, use and reproduction. The author emphasizes that the peculiarities of interaction between forests and the lands on which they are located are based on the close ecological and functional connection between forest cover and soil environment. It is emphasized that forests located in the territories of the nature reserve fund have a special environmental status, as they play an important role in conserving biodiversity, maintaining ecological balance, protecting soil and other natural processes. In view of this, their protection and use require special legal regulation and compliance with an enhanced environmental protection regime that ensures minimal human interference and maximum preservation of the natural environment. The author also considers the specifics of the legal regime of forests located on defense lands. It is noted that forests on defense lands perform not only environmental, protective, but also important strategic functions and serve as a natural barrier and contribute to the camouflage of military infrastructure facilities. The author emphasizes that the specifics of the legal regime of defense lands necessitate a special approach to the organization of forest protection, use and reproduction. It is emphasized that the peculiarities of the legal regime of forests on the land plots of the exclusion and unconditional (mandatory) resettlement zones that have been subject to radioactive contamination are determined taking into account the specifics of the legal regime of these territories and the requirements of environmental and radiation safety. It is found that a significant feature of the legal regime of forests located on the land plots of the exclusion and unconditional (mandatory) resettlement zones which have been subjected to radioactive contamination is that their protection and use are not limited to forestry purposes, but are primarily focused on the environmental stabilization of these territories.
