Experimental analysis reveals energy transfer nuances in turbulent pulsations and averaged motion, indicating Reynolds number dependency.
Experimental data, as well as data obtained using the direct numerical modeling method, show that the term in the equations for the kinetic energy of turbulent pulsations and the kinetic energy of averaged motion in the vicinity of a pipe or channel wall in the wall variables does not have a universal form, but depends on Reynolds number. It is shown that such behavior is associated with the presence of a weak dependence on this parameter of Reynolds shear stress, and calculation formulas are obtained
