Structural analysis reveals hydrogen bonding and intermolecular interactions in the compound, suggesting significant packing effects.
The crystal structure of 3-aminoacetophenone is presented. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group, with four independent molecules in the asymmetric unit, which are further hydrogen-bonded into a supramolecular chain. Surface characteristics and a quantitative analysis of intermolecular interactions in the crystal structure reveal that H···H contacts dominate, while C–H···π interactions also contribute significantly to the crystal packing.
