Experimental analysis of bubble interactions indicates that charge spacing affects pulsation periods significantly.
Abstract In order to study the interaction between three and four underwater explosion bubbles, an underwater explosion experiment with a small equivalent charge (1-4g TNT equivalent) was carried out using a water tank, and three and four underwater explosions were observed through high-speed photography. The fusion and collapse process between bubbles was analyzed to obtain the influence of the number of charges and the distance between charges on the pulsation period of underwater bubbles. The experiment was verified through the CEL method, and experiments with other parameterswere simulated. Experimental and simulation results show that the bubble period of multi-chargeunderwater explosion is related to the distance between charges. When the charge spacing L is closeto the bubble radius rb of a single charge (πΏβππ β 1.0), three and four water The bubble period after fusion of lower explosion bubbles is consistent with that of a single charge, and the bubble period after fusion has a tendency to gradually increase as the distance between charges decreases. When approaching a certain distance, the bubble period after fusion is close to the same Mass bubble cycle for a single charge.
