Motivation: Pulmonary MRI enabled the assessment of lung ventilation through PREFUL-MRI. However, previous studies mainly focused on 1.5T, with limited exploration of 3T. Goal(s): To investigate the repeatability of ventilation parameters derived from the recently proposed PREFUL-MRI on 3T. Approach: Participants underwent repeated PREFUL-MRI for intra-scan comparison on the day-1. One week later, another PREFUL-MRI scan was performed for inter-scan comparison. Ventilation parameters were calculated to assess their intra and inter consistency. Results: The results indicated good intra-scan and inter-scan reproducibility in ventilation parameters of PREFUL-MRI at 3T. Suggesting lung ventilation at higher field strength can be a feasible method for evaluating pulmonary disorders. Impact: These findings offer preliminary evidence supporting the reliability of ventilation parameters at 3T, suggesting their potential for long-term monitoring of patients.
