Multitasking MR sequences simultaneously acquire T1 and T2 relaxation times in cardio-oncology patients, indicating efficiency improvement.
Motivation: Myocardial quantification by cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) is critical for diagnosing and monitoring various cardiovascular diseases. Goal(s): The goal of this work is to validate a multitasking MR sequence in cardiac MRI setting that allow for the simultaneous acquisition of multiple relaxation times for cardio-oncology patients. Approach: This approach involves utilizing multitasking MR sequences that allows for the simultaneous acquisition of T1 and T2 relaxation times within a single MRI scan, compared to methods like MOLLI for T1 and TSE for T2. Results: This integrated multitasking MR technique has demonstrated the potential to improve the efficiency of myocardial imaging. Impact: Multitasking myocardial quantification is a fast method for assessing T1 and T2 relaxation properties that is helpful in a wide range of cardiovascular disorders. Multitasking T1 and T2 relaxation values correlate with standard imaging techniques.
