Retrospective analysis compares choroid plexus radiomics in MS and NMOSD, suggesting clinical insights.
Motivation: This study aims to deepen understanding of abnormalities in the choroid plexus (CP) associated with multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), providing a foundation for elucidating their underlying pathogenic mechanisms and developing targeted treatments. Goal(s): To investigate and compare radiomics features of the CP in MS and NMOSD for clinical insights. Approach: A retrospective analysis was conducted, extracting CP radiomics features from 3D T1-weighted images and employing statistical methods and machine learning. Results: Significant differences in CP features were identified, with implications for differentiating MS from NMOSD and correlations with clinical characteristics. Impact: This research advances the understanding of CP abnormalities in MS and NMOSD, aiding differential diagnosis and clinical monitoring.
