Observational analysis finds significant differences in DDVD metrics in gliomas, highlighting its diagnostic potential for IDH genotyping.
Motivation: The goal of study is to improve glioma classification by non-invasively evaluating IDH genotypes through the use of DDVD and habitat analysis. This study emphasizes the examination of tissue perfusion within the tumor microenvironment. Goal(s): Distinguishing IDH genotypes of diffuse gliomas by applying DDVD analysis across the entire tumor parenchyma and its specific habitats. Approach: This study employs DWI to collect DDVD metrics from 63 patients diagnosed with gliomas. The DDVD metrics were correlated with IDH genotypes and Ki-67 status. Results: Significant differences in DDVD were observed between IDH-mutant and IDH-wildtype gliomas. The habitat analysis notably enhanced the diagnostic performance for IDH genotyping. Impact: This study introduces DDVD as a novel biomarker for non-invasive IDH genotyping in diffuse gliomas, offering valuable insights into tumor biology and advancing the field toward more personalized treatment strategies in neuro-oncology.
