Observational analysis showcases improved image quality in diffusion-weighted MRI through multishot rosette methods, indicating potential for ex vivo and in vivo applications.
Motivation: Demonstrate image quality of multi-shot rosette acquisitions in diffusion-weighted MRI (dMRI) in both ex vivo and in vivo applications. Goal(s): Use redundant k-space sampling of rosette readouts to measure and correct for magnetic fields (B0 and shot-to-shot phase variations) that typically cause distortions in dMRI acquisitions Approach: Rosette dMRI acquisitions were evaluated on ex vivo ferret brains and in vivo mouse spinal cords. Results: Incorporating B0 and shot-to-shot phase variations estimated from rosette acquisitions without the need prescans showcases the potential of rosette readouts in advancing dMRI image quality. Impact: This abstract demonstrates multi-shot rosette readouts in diffusion MRI, including using redundant k-space information for estimating B0 and phase variations to improve image quality, evaluated in ex vivo ferret brains and in vivo mouse spinal cord.
