Static and dynamic analysis reveals stiffness values and stress curves in flexure support structures.
This paper aims to investigate the flexure support structure in the fast steering mirror (FSM). Firstly, the 3D model of the flexure support structure is created. Then, we calculate its theoretical stiffness value and carry out the static analysis. The relative error between the simulated and theoretically calculated values of the rotational stiffness of the structure in X and Y directions is within 2%, which verifies the correctness of the results. After that, we conduct transient dynamic analysis. The equivalent driving moment and equivalent stress-time curve of the flexure support structure are obtained. We also analyze the simulation results to provide a theoretical foundation for the prediction of the fatigue life of the flexure support structure.
