This analysis reveals AIE properties in a novel boron-based compound, suggesting advancements in solid-state materials.
Through precise regulation of steric hindrance and electronic effects in B/N Lewis acid-base pairs, a tetracoordinate boron-based compound, MeS-BN, was designed and synthesized. The study revealed that the target compound exhibits a mechanical force-induced response. Furthermore, MeS-BN demonstrates pronounced aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics, overcoming the limitations of aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) and significantly broadening its applications in solid-state luminescent materials.
