Abstract

This study searches at how nutrition, inflammation, and immune function are all closely related. It emphasizes how important macro- and micronutrients, phytochemicals, and dietary patterns are in regulating both innate and adaptive immune responses. Especially in areas with high rates of malnutrition, it highlights dietary inadequacies as a major factor in weakened immune systems and heightened vulnerability to infections. On the other hand, it talks about how wealthy nations deal with health issues brought on by a lack of nutrients in the face of high calorie intake. The study highlights the importance of certain nutrients, such as zinc, selenium, vitamins A, C, D, and E, in supporting immunological function while warning against the negative consequences of nutritional overconsumption.
