Micro-optical spectrometer array analyzes light from multiple fibers, indicating advancements in sensing technology.
A micro-optical spectrometer array will be introduced. It consists of an array of identical micro-optical stretched grating spectrometers. A dense arrangement of these channels in combination with the lateral resolution of the channels allows to analyze the light from 36 fibers when utilizing a 9mm diagonal image sensor. This micro system with only 18mm path length yields a spectral resolution in the 3nm range for mobile, parallel sensing applications.
