The evolution of nitric oxide from a diagnostic marker to a medical gas therapy tool, highlighting its uses in inhalation therapy.
Unique chemical and physical properties of nitric oxide dictate its transformation from universal fundamental marker at medicine diagnostics as well as a biological signaling molecule to the de-velopment a lot of new stable NO- donors of different classes for wide medicine practice. Moreo-ver, at 2019 in Russia there was designed and constructed the world’s first commercially available device for inhalation therapy “Tianox”. On the results of its technical and clinical tests it was ap-proved for circulation on the territory of Russia to support a new medicine branch – a therapy with medicine gases.
