Data reveals excessive water release in engines treated with tribosystems, suggesting digital assessment for repairs.
The article summarizes data on excessive water release from the exhaust tract of an internal combustion engine during its tribo-treatment with serpentine compounds, which does not correspond to conventional ideas about the operation of an internal combustion engine. The article presents some theories about the causes of this phenomenon, which is a sign of the beginning of a non-disassembled repair of worn-out engine joints. To optimize this process, it is proposed to adjust the dose of the introduced tribo-compound according to the nature of water release. The need to create a methodology for assessing the digital maturity of maintenance and repair processes and determining priority areas for digitalization was discussed.
