Survey analysis reveals intimacy and risk influence acceptance of HFCVs and hydrogen energy, suggesting key barriers.
This study analyzed the effects of perception, intimacy, risk, fear of HFCVs (Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles), hydrogen energy, and hydrogen charging stations on the acceptance of HFCVs, hydrogen energy, and hydrogen charging stations in the city, based on a structured survey. through the survey. A structural equation model was constructed using the survey data to examine how perceptions of HFCVs and hydrogen energy influence the acceptance of hydrogen energy in an urban context. The survey was conducted on the 540 citizens in the Suwon City, and the structural equation model is established based on the survey results. The model fit indices indicated that the structural equation model demonstrated an acceptable level of fit. Analysis of the standardized coefficient (β) revealed that the intimacy, risk, technological development, and social issues relevance of HFCVs, hydrogen energy and hydrogen charging stations positively influenced acceptance of hydrogen energy. On the other hand, fear was found to have a negative effect. Based on these findings, it is anticipated that this study will contribute to promoting the adoption of safe HFCVs, hydrogen energy, and hydrogen charging infrastructure.
