This research demonstrates the first stimulated Brillouin laser and a microwave photonics processor in thin-film lithium niobate, highlighting novel functionalities.
We report the first Brillouin photonics engine in the thin-film lithium niobate platform. We demonstrate the first stimulated Brillouin laser in this platform. Moreover, we demonstrate the first Brillouin-based microwave photonics processor with versatile functionalities, including notch filters, bandpass filters, and true time delay.
