Fabrication of a circular polarization splitter using topological photonic crystals, achieving stable output ratios.
We designed and fabricated an Si-based circular polarization splitter consisting of topological photonic crystals. The output ratio between two ports ranged from 10.8 dB to -8.3 dB, while circular polarizability stayed unchanged after splitting.
