This experiment demonstrates gas switching in hollow core fiber, facilitating kilowatt pulse emissions at 1-1.9 µm.
We demonstrate a switchable infrared laser via stimulated Raman scattering in hollow core fiber pressurized with hydrogen or methane. Switching between emitting kilowatt pulses at 1 µ m, 1.5 µ m, or 1.9 µ m occurs in minutes.
