This research demonstrates single-photon omni-resonance in a Fabry-Pérot cavity, implying new possibilities for quantum optics applications.
By appropriately structuring the optical field of a 40-nm-bandwidth single-photon wave packet, we couple the photon into a 150-pm-linewidth planar Fabry-Pérot cavity with 22-nm free-spectral-range, thereby demonstrating for the first time single-photon omni-resonance.
