Analysis improves pressure efficiency in hydraulic channels using 3D forming and RRT path planning.
To mitigate excessive energy losses in hydraulic channels caused by traditional manufacturing constraints, this study proposes an optimization method integrating 3D forming technology with the Rapidly-exploring Random Tree (RRT) algorithm, targeting minimal pressure differential between the inlet and outlet. Initially, RRT-based path planning is performed for obstacle avoidance, and the trajectory is further smoothed using B-spline curves. A three-dimensional model of the optimized channel is then developed in SolidWorks and evaluated through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations using Fluent. Simulation results reveal that, compared to the original design, the optimized channel effectively eliminates vortex formation at sharp corners, reduces peak pressure by over 57%, and lowers pressure loss by approximately 60%, leading to significant performance improvements in the hydraulic system. The findings validate the effectiveness of RRT path planning and B-spline smoothing in hydraulic channel design, offering a feasible approach for enhancing hydraulic system efficiency.
