Hybrid integration enables stable, narrow-linewidth output in broad-ridge waveguide lasers, highlighting its potential for high-power applications.
We demonstrate a self-injection locking laser realized through hybrid integration of a broad-ridge waveguide Fabry–Pérot laser and a photonic integrated circuit chip, engineered for high-power and highly coherent on-chip emission. The hybrid laser achieves stable, narrow-linewidth, single-frequency operation across a broad current locking range.
