Analysis indicates increasing engagement in science and innovation diplomacy among Global South nations, suggesting effective networking for stakeholders.
The analysis of the role of social networks in the production and application of knowledge is a consolidated field of transdisciplinary studies. Recent years have seen a trend that countries from the Global South are showing deep interest in making science and innovation diplomacy (S&ID) an important part of their foreign policy agenda, and that is why participation from Global South is increasing in training workshops and courses on S&ID, which in turn facilitates in the formulation of networks among important stakeholders. For analysing such trends, this article targets InnScid SP international school over its 5 years of development as a case study, which has trained more than 500 high-profile individuals from the triple helix. The analysis highlights the programme’s evolution, unique contributions, and measurable outcomes during this period. Such analysis is a first step towards the formation and operationalization of national and international networks capable of assisting S&ID practices.
