Abstract

Purpose of the study. To analyze the transformation of value orientations in Ukrainian society at the beginning of the 21st century, considering sociocultural factors such as war, digitalization, globalization, and civil society development. Methodological basis. The study employs an interdisciplinary approach combining cultural studies, sociology, philosophy, and psychology to analyze value orientations. It utilizes the theoretical frameworks of Shalom Schwartz, enabling identification of universal value types and tracing their transformations in society. The methodology also draws upon Ronald Inglehart’s modernization theory, highlighting the shift from materialist to post-materialist values. The research incorporates Manuel Castells’ concepts of digital culture, revealing the impact of network communications on the formation of multiple identities. Analytical methods include content analysis of sociocultural practices, comparative analysis of sociological surveys, as well as qualitative interviews and ethnographic observations, which facilitate the exploration of the effects of war, digitalization, and globalization on the value orientations of Ukrainian society. The scientific novelty lies in the comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of the transformation of value orientations in Ukrainian society under the conditions of sociocultural changes in the early 21st century, taking into account the impact of war, digitalization, globalization processes, and shifts in the system of humanitarian knowledge.Conclusions. Value orientations in Ukrainian society undergo multidimensional transformation reflecting adaptation to new sociocultural realities. Educational, cultural, and digital institutions play a key role in stabilizing and renewing the value paradigm, forming the basis of national identity.
