Research demonstrates the algorithm's ability to detect pulsed radiation and switch dosimeter modes effectively.
This publication is a continuation of the series of articles devoted to the assessment of performance of dosimetric equipment in the fields of pulsed photon radiation. It deals with the algorithm for automatic determination of the pulsed character of the photon radiation field. The publication describes the main criteria that allow to determine the character of the radiation field and to switch the dosimetric equipment to the required mode when measuring the ambient dose equivalent rate H*(10). The correctness of the algorithm operation was verified by its practical realization in the dosimeter DKS-AT1123 during measurements made in the fields of nano- and microsecond pulse radiation with known dosimetric and temporal characteristics. It is shown that the dosimeter DKS-AT1123, when implementing such an algorithm, can detect the pulsed nature of the photon radiation field and correctly switch to the required mode of operation when measuring the ambient dose equivalent rate H*(10). Implementation of this algorithm in the dosimeter DKS-AT1123, as well as other improvements of technical characteristics are planned in the course of its modernization.
