Observing a need to address longstanding disparities in mental health care, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) last week announced a strategic collaboration aimed at improving behavioral health outcomes for Latino communities nationwide. The partnership will focus on expanding access to culturally responsive services, increasing the number of Latino mental health professionals and dismantling systemic barriers that hinder equitable care.
