Qualitative analysis reveals capital and human resources drive success in Muslim women entrepreneurs, suggesting crucial factors from Khadijah's legacy.
Islamic history records the remarkable entrepreneurial achievements of the great Muslim woman, Khadijah binti Khuwaylid (r.a). Her success can be understood as the result of two critical determining factors: capital and human resources. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of investment in capital and human resources on the success of Muslim women entrepreneurs in Malaysia’s health product industry, with reference to the factors that contributed to Khadijah’s accomplishments. This study employed a qualitative approach through interviews with ten successful Muslim women entrepreneurs in the industry. The data collected were analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that the success of Muslim women entrepreneurs in Malaysia’s health product sector is similarly influenced by human resources and capital.
