Experimental findings show low-intensity electromagnetic radiation reduces edema and neuronal apoptosis in ischemic brain tissue.
The article presents experimental data on the effect of low-intensity electromagnetic radiation at frequencies of 150.176...150.664 GHz on morphological changes in brain tissue under conditions of chronic experimental cerebral ischemia. It is shown that irradiating rats at these frequencies under conditions of chronic cerebral ischemia contributes to a reduction in perivascular and pericellular edema and also inhibits the development of neuronal apoptosis.
