Here we present LINCS (LabelingIndividualNeurons withChemical dyes and controllableSparseness), an ultrabright neuronal labeling system that achieves cell-type specific labeling with chemical dyes. We established and optimzed an efficient pipeline for rapid whole-mount staining procedure, integrating LINCS with tissue clearing and commercially available light-sheet microscopy.
