This observational analysis reveals structural features in carbon nanomaterials, suggesting optimal synthesis duration for enhanced crystallite size.
The study analyzes the features of the raman spectra of multilayer carbon nanotubes, which were obtained at different time parameters of synthesis. Carbon nanomaterials were synthesized by the method of gas-phase chemical deposition (GPCD) of hydrocarbons (СхHy) on catalysts (Ni / Mg). By the method of Raman spectroscopy, it has been found that structures with a minimum crystallite size (in the range from 3 to 11 nm) relative to other objects under study are formed at a synthesis duration of 90 minutes. The change in the intensities 2D (≈2700 cm-1) and D (≈1350 cm-1) depending on the growing time parameter of synthesis is due to a gradual reduction in the average length of graphene fragments, which form the overall structure and the final length of the nanomaterial.
