As Catholic helping professionals, we are called to something more than simply supporting the emotional well-being of our clients. We are invited to participate in the Church's salvific mission by accompanying individuals, couples, and families as they grow into the people God created them to be. In a culture that often works against that mission—where family breakdown, secularism, and disaffiliation from the faith are all too common—our work is more critical than ever. This special issue of Integratus is dedicated to equipping Catholic helping professionals with the tools and vision necessary to help Catholic families not only heal, but flourish as domestic churches—spiritually vibrant households rooted in a Catholic understanding of the human person and family life.
